Refined Polyphony
Three dimensions – the width, length, and depth of a body or object, which could be a relevant title for an exhibition of sculptures. However, it can also refer to the independent paths and achievements of the three distinctly different sculptors featured in the exhibition.

Their joint exhibition presents the individual endeavors of artists who started out at the same school, share the same spirit, and continue to pass it on, but are now following different paths. Although Fábián Baráth, Tamás Gilly, and Nóra Szirmai create sculptures with different approaches, they are similar in many ways: all three studied at the Kandó Kálmán Secondary School of Art in Kecskemét, where they graduated as sculptors under the tutelage of sculptor Pál Lakatos, and later attended the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, also studying sculpture. The former classmates now live in different parts of Hungary, and their work is characterized by abstract forms and the use of durable materials (steel, bronze, stone).

At the exhibition entitled Three Dimensions, a total of around 30 works by the three sculptors immediately draw visitors into the spacious Kodály Hall of the Hírös Agora and Cultural and Youth Center in Kecskemét, drawing their gaze to the works. Their works are not separated from each other, but rather form a coherent whole in the large space, organically guiding the visitor's attention as they wander among the sculptures, experiencing the infinite spatial experience and the balanced internal dialogue between the works.
